For those who are interested in cultural things, there are possibilities for excursions to cities, such as: Spoleto, Foligno, Spello, Perugia, Assisi, Todi and Orvieto which are renown in art history. There are also shopping opportunities in the immediate area.
 

The typical landscape of Umbria manifests itself in stark canyons and soft hills, wild forests and fruitful plains, that have been cultivated, by skillful hands, for a wide variety of plantings, as well as fresh oases with crystal clear spring water. The region streches over 8,456 sq. kilometers, surrounded by the regions of Tuscany, Mark and Latium. The inland area consists of plains, hills and mountains. It is mostly highlands. This is shown in its statistics: 53% of the total area of Umbria consists of mountains, 41% is hills and the remaining 6% is plains. Far-reaching differences and contrasts make the landscape varied and interesting: this is a result of distinct geological, hydro and climactic phenomena.
